Located a short seven mile drive south of Mandan, this fort has great historical significance in American history. It was from here that the ill-fated Seventh Calvalry and Lt. Colonel George Armstrong Custer rode out to their infamous battle against the Sioux at Little Big Horn. In addition to sightseeing at the reconstructed village, numerous other recreational opportunities abound. The park contains a 95-site campground for tenting and RVs, nature hikes and two sleeping cabins. Address: 4480 Fort Lincoln Road ND 58554
